Runway Rundown Bohemia Design Boot Giveaway!

Darlings, CC is so excited to introduce you to Bohemia Design! Jenny Lockton, founder & owner of Bohemia Design, has been working with a small, family-run business in Marrakech, Morocco for over 6 years to produce beautiful artisanal, handcrafted leather goods. Hamid and his team of highly skilled leather craftsmen select the finest leathers to produce a range of products exclusive to Bohemia in a glorious palette of delicious colour and texture.

The kilim boots are made entirely by hand, as Jenny can testify, having spent many a happy hour in the workshop watching in awe at the skill of the Moroccan leather craftsmen. Hamid sources beautiful vintage kilims which are given a new lease of life when made into these fantastic boots. Each pair is absolutely unique as the pattern & detail vary from one to another, some with sequins or tufting and in a richness of colour which is absolutely in keeping with the North African landscape. The kilim rugs are cut to size and stitched into panels which are then attached to the feet of the boots. The leather is dyed a deep chestnut brown to match kilim fabrics in a fabulous range of red, maroon and orange.

Each of these antique rugs already has a life story to tell and, re-cycled into a brand new pair of kilim boots, a future life story is in the making. It is truly like wearing a work of art on your feet.

The Bohemia philosophy is to work ethically with respect for people and the environment. Our work with Hamid and his team in Morocco helps to sustain the centuries old crafts of the leather artisan and the dignity of their labour.
